On 7th of April 2022, all WaterAct project partners and invited guests met in a one day seminar where discussions about assessment of common groundwater resources in Gauja/Koiva and Salaca/Salatsi river baseins were going on.
Project manager Aiga Krauze introduced guests with the main principles of the project. Then a presentation was given about Transboundary groundwater bodies assessment in Gauja-Koiva and Salaca-Salatsi river basins. Project partners alos discussed Transboundary monitoring strategy and monitoring points, as well as spring watershed modelling.
After a short break WaterAct project partners discussed about voluntary spring monitoring and about the results from Koiva spring monitorng.
In the end of the seminar, all of the partners agreed on the next steps.
The next meeting will be on 28.04.2022. where all of us will meet on field to get to know ecosystems and newly developed Habitats guide.
