From 15.08.-18.08. WaterAct project partners are attending Nordic Hydrological Conference.
During the first day 4 people from LEGMC and 1 from UL participated in the field course where the Kohila karst region was visited. Altogether 5 places with different geomorphological and hydrological conditions were visited.
First place was Kõnnujärv bog lake.
Second place was a spring where Oliver Koit demonstrated measurements he has done over the years.
Third place was a karst sinkhole.
Fourth place was also a couple of karst sinkholes scattered around. Participants had the opportunity to climb down and explore these sinkholes, as well as one cave.
Fifth place was a well that overflows frequently.
In the folowing days experts listened various hydrological research presentations that were presented by experts from different countries – Estonia, USA, Finland, Latvia etc.
